Online chat service—chat help for you and your students. Look for an “Online Chat” button on the right side of the Library’s home page
Credo Reference—a large collection of encyclopedia articles. From the Library’s home page, click on the “Online Encyclopedias & Dictionaries” link in order to search for articles.
Newspapers—Access the “US Major Dailies” newspaper database and register for a free subscription to the New York Times. On the Library’s home page, click on the large green button labelled “Read Major Newspapers.”
EBSCO databases—Our largest journal and magazine database. On the Library’s home page, click on “Find Articles & Databases.” The EBSCO search blank is at the top of the page.
EBSCO video tutorial – How to access and search EBSCO databases. To access the tutorial, start at the Library’s home page. Click on the “Start Your Research” menu at the top of the page. Then click on “Research How Tos.” Then click on the “Find Information” collection.
AVON (Academic Video Online) – The largest academic video collection available. To access it from the Library’s home page, first click on the large green button labelled “Watch Streaming Video.” Click on AVON, then search for your topic. When you find an interesting video, click on it. If you want your students to access it, click on the “Share” link at the top, then click on “Copy Permalink” button that appears under the video. Use the permalink in your online course to connect the students to an individual video.
